Totoro’s Room will be built in Dondoko Mori Area
On June 2, 2021, Aichi Prefecture announced the construction of “Totoro’s Room” and other facilities for children to play in the Ghibli Park being built in the Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Park in Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture.
The Totoro Room is a recreation of the world of Studio Ghibli’s animated film “My Neighbor Totoro,” and will be built in the Grand Warehouse area of the three areas scheduled to open in the fall of 2010: the Hill of Youth, the Ghibli Grand Warehouse, and the Dondoko Mori area.
The Totoro Room is expected to feature a cat bus and a large camphor tree that appear in the movie, and will be an exhibit where children can play freely.
Giant Ship structure will be built in the same area
In the large warehouse area, a giant flying ship from the movie “Laputa: Castle in the Sky” will be recreated.
This giant ship will be reproduced with a total length of 6.3 meters.
These structures are scheduled to be completed by the end of September 2012.
