Aichi Governor Omura introduces images of the two areas scheduled to open during fiscal year 2023 (April to March in the Japanese fiscal year, in this case until March 2024).

Please take a look at just a glimpse from YouTube(Japanese).

Mononoke no Sato area will open in fall 2023

Mononoke no Sato, which will open in the fall of 2023, is an area of about 0.8 ha with a motif of “Princess Mononoke.

The area is designed to resemble Satoyama, an ancient Japanese farming village, and will feature several facilities, including Tatara Place, which is featured in the film, as a learning facility.

In this area, a 3.4 meter-high slide modeled after the “Otokotonushi” from “Princess Mononoke” will be constructed. The back part of the themed image appears to be the slide.

In the grassy area adjacent to the “Mononoke Village(Mononoke no Sato)” area , there are plans to install playground equipment related to Ghibli’s works.

“Valley of Witch” area opens in spring 2024

Scheduled to open in the spring of 2024, the “Valley of Witch” area will be based on the European-style landscape depicted in Studio Ghibli films such as “Kiki’s Delivery Service” and “Howl’s Moving Castle.

In this area, a hat store run by Sophie, the main character in “Howl’s Moving Castle,” will be constructed, and Sophie’s workshop will be recreated in the building.

Howl’s bedroom and restaurant from “Howl’s Moving Castle” are also likely to be recreated.

Aichi Prefecture, the operator of the park, has allocated 6,553,460,000 yen for the Ghibli Park project in its draft budget for fiscal year 2023.

It’s about adding two more areas, so…

I hope it will be a little easier to get tickets now that the area is going to be expanded…

We receive inquiries from many people asking if they can manage to get tickets, and it pains us that we are unable to help in any way.

I would like you to give more consideration to applications from overseas.

I apologize for the delay in replying to your inquiries. And updates too (T_T).

See you soon.
